Our client is seeking an experienced IT professional to serve as a Senior Network & Systems Engineer on a newly created team. In your role as a Senior Network & Systems Engineer, you will take full ownership of the new client on-boarding process, including the analysis, design, implementation and post documentation of customer cloud and on premise technology projects including as well as providing 3rd level technical assistance to the technology support team members as required.


In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand the business impact of technology decisions within customers' networks and recommend the most comprehensive solutions in our service stack in order to meet the customers' business objectives.


The Engineer is responsible for scoping projects requested by clients and creating a project plan which includes any hardware and software recommendations we will be presenting to the client as part of the project proposal. After the project has been approved the Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and management of the project from start to finish.

General Responsibilities:
Take full ownership for client on-boarding process - 2 days per week at client location during on-boarding - typically 4-6 weeks - the 3 other days will be in the clients Naperville office.

  • Research and design the most appropriate solutions for a customer's business need
  • Present the proposal with recommendations to the client and explain in detail so the scope is understood
  • Assist with the creation of project plans, including a list of all required resources and time budgets
  • Work with other members in various service delivery teams to successfully complete technology deployments
  • Hands on implementation of proposed technology solutions
  • Provide "day-after" support to the client
  • Document system configurations
