Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) (Remote)
*Fulltime remote allowed if candidate resides in (FL, GA, TN, CO, TX, HI,VA,NC)*
Position can be Contract to Hire or Direct Hire
-Candidate needs to be able to work as a direct hire with no sponsorship after 6 months-
The Sr DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing build and deployment pipelines that support corporate products and services. This position is a key contributor in helping define and implement a DevOps roadmap and lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a polished professional with deep technical expertise that thrives in a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that enables deliver of applications and services at high velocity
- Administer internal tools including Azure DevOps, Jira, TeamCity, and TFS
- Continuously evaluate new technologies that streamline and optimize the DevOps processes
- Participate in sprint planning, story point estimating, daily stand up's and sprint retrospectives
- Work closely with team members to understand and anticipate team needs
- Work closely with the Release team to coordinate releases and patches
- Perform maintenance and upgrades to internal and third-party tools
Required Skills:
- 5+ years current AWS experience (Subject Matter Expert)
- Strong configuration experience
- Deep knowledge and experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps targeting AWS
- Advanced skills with Terraform for provisioning resources in AWS and Azure
- Deep knowledge of Azure Boards, Pipelines, Repos and Artifacts
- Expert administering and using Git and TFVC
- Experience with Jira and TeamCity preferred
- Experience implementing application security testing tools preferred
- Knowledge of DevOps philosophies, standards and CI/CD best practices
- Passion for learning new languages/technologies and staying on top of the technology wave
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high aptitude to learn
- Strong professional skills including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Education, prior work experience:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 or more years of work-related experience
- 6+ years of practical expertise working in a DevOps role
