Job Description

SNI Companies' client is immediately seeking to hire a Mortgage Set-Up Specialist (Processor) on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will initially be located in Westminster, CO (i.e. Federal and 120th ave.), but will eventually be moved into a new location in Broomfield, CO (i.e. Off Hwy 36 @ Interlocken).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Build member relationships that deliver value and demonstrate that we care
  • Responsible for loan generation and goals set forth by the Credit Union
  • Ability to read and comprehend Mortgage 1003, and credit bureau reports
  • Process loan applications and collect required documents for mortgage and consumer loans
  • Understand and manage mortgage loan deadlines to ensure purchase contract compliance
  • Understand residential appraisal reports
  • Familiar with TRID guidelines (Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure)
  • Order title work, mortgage payoffs and appraisals
  • Request 4506t Tax transcripts; correct all rejections and reorder
  • Request verification of employment on all loans
  • Request certifications and insurance documentation
  • Request home insurance policy updates and payoffs at processor request
  • Track outstanding items on loans files and follow up with general clerical and phone support to MLO's and processors as needed
  • Provide loan processors with assistance in moving loans quickly and accurately
  • Deliver Appraisals to borrower through LOS system
  • Work directly with loan origination system (Encompass)
  • Offer support to closing, servicing in scanning and collecting past due documents from title and insurance agencies
  • Assist in managing a pipeline consisting of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, along with 203K and reverse mortgage products
  • Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to the borrower and retrieve proof of receipt
  • Track outstanding items on all loan files and follow up with customers to ensure timely receipt of necessary documentation
  • General clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors, as needed
  • Work with management to provide support in various stages and areas of lending and processing as needed
  • Provide excellent member service and/or facilitates product sales through various channels. Deepens member relationships through needs assessment and solution offerings from products and services
  • Support and participate in our Community Outreach programs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and corporate policies/procedures
  • Responsible for related functions as required or assigned

  • Work with team members, management, departments, and business partners to promote excellent member service that is focused on providing prompt, accurate and positive member experience

  • Process various transactions when required
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exercise good judgment when seeking guidance, support, and/or direction
  • Maintain member and Credit Union privacy, security and confidentiality

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2 + years financial experience with a minimum of one year of mortgage lending experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and member service skills
  • Understanding of regulatory and legal requirements
  • Have familiarity with conventional and government mortgage loan programs and guidelines
  • Have knowledge and familiarity with the Encompass Loan Origination System, Meridian Link, LoansPQ, Symitar Core Operating System or equivalent
  • Ability to pass Colorado Notary Certification program and STAMP Program
  • Excellent problem solving and computer skills
