IT Support Technician
Summary: Support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required.
Overview:
* Helpdesk duties, phone support, remote support, desk-side support for users in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required
* Evaluate, prioritize and respond to service requests with a resolution
* Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation software/hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking software/hardware products
* Maintain an inventory of all IT assets including history of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal
* Create and update documentation regarding IT processes and configuration
* Place and escalate vendor service calls when necessary to resolve hardware or software failures
* Setup user accounts in AD and Office 365
* Assist with IT projects, implementations and upgrades
* Able to handle concurrent tasks, asks for guidance with complex issues when needed
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a support technician for 5 + years
* Tech savvy - good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
* Ability to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues
* Proficiency in English
* Excellent communication skills
* Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
* Attention to detail
* AD, Networking and Windows server experience a plus
