Job Description

Location: Dallas, TX metroplex - Onsite
Salary: $75k - $95k

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a full-time Broadcast Network Architect  to lead our US business network topology and design for broadcast networks. They will work with our global team for integration and design. This includes large scale multicast networks, VPN tunnels, layer 2 and 3 networks. While supporting our current systems and leading our team. 
Key duties include:

  • Ensure systems are acceptably stable and responsive to field engineering staff.
  • Develop and implement advanced network systems as it applies to new facilities, updates, and additions to existing facilities. As well as new workflows for specific projects and company growth. 
  • Serve as technical expert in supporting the core IP based infrastructure for the Datacenter
  • Support, monitor, & troubleshoot technical workflows from datacenter to client and company control rooms.
  • Coordinate with NOC, problem solve and troubleshoot network connectivity issues in a WAN and/or LAN environment.
  • Develop and implement a standard network infrastructure across the US systems that works with the Global Network team.
  • Provide proper training to Mobile Unit Engineers on the mobile network systems.
  • Bring expertise in WAN/LAN networking workflows, and familiarity with the WAN/LAN production supply-chain.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all network systems.
  • Provide technical support for broadcast network systems throughout the mobile fleet. 


What You Will Need:
  • Technical or Associates degree in the information technology field desired, however a combination of education and experience will be considered. 
  • Ability to work in, and understand SMPTE 2110 environments, familiarity with IP workflows.
  • Prior experience in the broadcast television industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
  • Collaborate with managers, engineers, and clients on projects and ideas to ensure the consistency and high availability of the network infrastructure.
  • Must be willing and able to travel, as necessary.
  • Mac and Windows proficient.
  • Network management and monitoring experience.
  • Technical support background.
  • Enterprise/Carrier-class router and switches including Cisco, Arista, and/or Juniper is required.
  • Cisco CCIE or CCDE, or equivalent experience
  • Arista ACD 6 or 7, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge and experience leveraging multiple network protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, VxLAN and BGP.
  • Hands on experience with IPSec VPN setup and management
  • Understanding of AWS Cloud including the VPC platform and Site to Site VPN. AWS Advanced Networking Certification; not required but would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL’s, QoS, VLAN’s and Wireless Access Points.
