Our client is seeking a Marketing Specialist (Technical) for an exciting contract to hire scenario. The Marketing Specialist will thrive on driving demand for online community engagement and content resources.

This role will oversee and engage with an online community, where thousands of service and support professionals connect, share ideas, and advance both their careers and profession. The Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for supporting the content and community businesses for both the all brands, overseeing demand generation and marketing campaigns for sponsored content resources delivered digitally. The Marketing Specialist works cross-functionally with the Marketing, Content, Sales, and Web Development teams.


  • Oversee and engage with the online community; actively listen and monitor user discussions to facilitate engagement, identify industry trends, and ensure compliance with community policies.
  • Drive audience engagement with and growth, while retaining and engaging existing members, through multichannel marketing campaigns including email, paid and organic social media, and digital marketing.
  • Review online analytics and community behavior for recommendations to improve traffic and conversions.
  • Drive community business marketing strategy and execution, including lead gen, email, PPC, display, retargeting, and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and content leads to inform lead gen programs for our events and training businesses. Track revenue attribution from these efforts.


  • Develop and optimize landing pages to support registration and lead gen for sponsored content programs, including webinars, research programs, and other assets.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director, Group Content Manager, Sales, and Client Services and Delivery Operations teams to execute marketing strategies to drive leads.
  • Support sponsored content sales by managing annual production of media kits and drafting monthly marketing emails.
  • Identify external opportunities for marketing of sponsored program to achieve lead gen goals.


  • Plan marketing campaigns, set timelines, and select optimal delivery channels.
  • Develop creative concepts and collaborate with creative team to produce marketing materials across traditional and digital channels.

  • Identify website UX improvements and the Resources sections websites based on behavior, trend analytics and your own experience/expertise. Collaborate with Marketing and Content leadership to secure approval for recommended changes and work with Development team to implement structural improvements. Measure outcomes and track impact.
  • Deploy banners on brand websites, adjusting schedules to maximize lead gen across all active assets.
  • Write emails and banner ad content to support lead gen for active Manage placements and trafficking of marketing materials to ensure timely campaign execution.
  • Design and manage the production of event on-site signage and collateral that supports community growth, and content sponsorship sales.
  • Collaborate with Audience Segmentation team to strategically develop and select targeted lists for email marketing campaigns.
  • Present campaign results weekly to community stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyze marketing data and provide insights on key performance indicators as needed. Utilize these insights to drive new programs or campaigns throughout the buying cycle.
  • Manage vendor orders and payments.


  • 2+ years of overall marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and high comfort level with technology and web-based applications such as Eloqua (marketing automation), Salesforce, Sitecore (or other content management systems), Jira (or other project management software), and other like marketing, sales, and business enablement tools
  • 2+ years of proven experience working with online communities, websites, and web analytics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, journalism, communications, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute multichannel marketing programs, including ability to research and implement best practices
  • Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
  • Exceptional strategic marketing messaging and copywriting abilities
  • Excellent project and budget management skills
  • Knowledge of service management, technical support, and/or contact center industry a plus
  • Experience with lead generation, sales enablement activities, and sales collaborations a plus
