Job Description


Our client located in Alexandria is looking for a Junior level IT Project Manager to assist in the management of multiple projects while providing project management advice to companies and organizations. This role will identify project goals, write project charters, scope and coordinate projects, set timelines and schedules, collaborate with various teams, track the progress of projects, monitor budgets and report results and progress toward objectives.
Responsibilities:

  • Write detailed project charters
  • Translate technology infrastructure requirements (high-level and functional)
  • Provide realistic estimates regarding tasks (costs, timelines, and resources)
  • Scope various project aspects to ensure coordination of goods, services and activities
  • Create/maintain a detailed project plan (work breakdown structure)
  • Proactive communication with sponsors, stakeholders and team members
  • Assist in management of the project scope, deliverable and timeline
  • Oversight of the materials budget
  • Manage the scope change approval process
  • Facilitate project closure and lessons learned



Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of industry-specific knowledge and experience
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to formally brief all levels of management (client and internal)
  • Possess planning and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a detail-oriented multi-tasker with great communication skills and are able to easily adapt to changing circumstances
  • Must be highly organized and efficient
  • Must emphasize good time management without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to continuously work on and help support multiple high priority items daily
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced and pressured environment with aggressive deadlines
  • Must be willing to follow instructions to the detail
  • Should enjoy working as part of a team and must take a leadership role when requested by the Program/Deputy Program Manager
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and follow up on all action items
  • Fluent with the Microsoft Office suite of programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
  • ServiceNow experience - strongly preferred
