SNI Technology’s client located in Colorado Springs, CO is actively seeking to hire one (1) to two (2) Designers with CADWorx experience in the Energy industry for an exciting 4-5-month, contract-to-hire opportunity! Please note this position is intended to work primarily onsite (4-5days/week) and will require travel 20-50% of the time. Must have valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Candidates requiring remote work opportunities may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Summary
The Designer will be experienced in preparing clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings. A solid understanding of energy industry related drafting techniques and engineering terminology is required. The Designer shall have a drafting background and specialize in 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D programs. They will also actively manage their time to maintain efficient, effective, and accurate production within their projects. Also, the Designer will have strong communication skills and be able to accomplish the results of the project at hand.

The compensation for this position is in the range of $29 to $44 per hour during the 4-5-month contract duration of the assignment with a starting annual salary range of $60K to $90K upon converting to permanent. Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in professional development.

- Actively participate in QA/QC to ensure consistency within the department.
- Work with Project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Clearly convey design philosophies, expectations, and timeline.
- Works with Project Drafting Lead to complete drafting assignments in a timely manner.
- Create and setup CAD files.
- Adhere to PSI standards when creating/modifying drawings.
- Self-check drawings and models prior to delivery to Project Drafting Lead.
- Generate project deliverables utilizing Adobe Acrobat.
- Work within the estimated time constraints given by Project Drafting Lead.
- Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities.
- Treat all company information and customer information confidentially.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in related oil and gas experience preferred. Will consider 3-4 years of experience for highly qualified candidates.
- Must have prior experience with piping design working with CADWorx software.
- Specialized in 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Advanced user of Microsoft office suites.
Work Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and occasional nights and weekends.
- Overtime is occasionally required and expected, often on short notice.

- Up to 50% travel as needed
