Super Intendant
Paving/Asphalt Superintendent
Location: Onsite – Baltimore County, MD
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Salary: $100,000 – $115,000
We are seeking an experienced Paving/Asphalt Superintendent to lead and oversee asphalt placement operations across multiple job sites. This full-time, direct hire position is ideal for a hands-on leader who is highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of managing crews and projects to ensure high-quality work is delivered efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and guide site Foremen on day-to-day asphalt paving operations.

Conduct site visits to evaluate quality, productivity, safety, manpower, and equipment use.

Ensure punch list tasks and final job site cleanup are completed thoroughly and documented.

Provide leadership and mentorship to Foremen; step in to lead when necessary.

Coordinate crews and equipment to optimize productivity across multiple sites.

Handle timely and accurate submission of all employee-related documentation (e.g., evaluations, injury reports, status changes).

Attend pre-construction and planning meetings; communicate key takeaways to field staff via standardized reporting.

Collaborate with Estimators for job planning and bid preparation as needed.

Ensure job sites meet contract compliance regarding safety, environmental controls, and operational standards.

Inspect equipment for proper use and maintenance; coordinate with Equipment Manager for procurement or repairs.

Maintain strong communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and alignment.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus.

3–5 years of experience as an Asphalt Paving Foreman or 5–7 years of field/road construction experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Strong understanding of asphalt paving operations, site safety protocols, and job site coordination.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
