Position Overview:

System Administrator provides general/technical support to company end-users, as well as maintenance of company infrastructure and systems. The individual will maintain network systems across interconnected networks and locations using LAN, WAN, Wireless and VPN technologies. Maintain Cisco and Palo Alto Firewall/VPN gateways in an enterprise environment using standardized set TCP/IP protocols and applications. Will cross-train with and act as backup to other System Administrators.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and configure new laptops or desktop systems for new hired at corporate office and remote leasing / sales centers. Responsible for the complete setup of new computer or mobile device for end-user to perform his/her assigned tasks.
  • Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems.
  • Performs system backups and recovery.
  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Create and maintain user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment.
  • Configuring email clients on new laptops for end-users. Assist user configure mobile devices email account when requested.
  • Prepare and configure new email accounts for new users utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office 365 and other on premise or cloud services.
  • Travel to remote sites to provide IT support on desktop, laptops and mobile devices. Manage and maintain and upgrade IT network devices and systems at remote locations.
  • Coordinate the deployment of new equipment for leasing and sales centers with other team members and local vendors.
  • Provides users with technical support
  • Performs installation of approved software & hardware to business users.
  • Maintain inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades
  • Works with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring new equipment is installed and setup on schedule
  • Log all requests and ensure problems are resolved in a complete, proper and timely manner.
  • Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization
  • Creating user accounts and managing access control based on company policies
  • Be a "team player" to ensure in-house project deadlines are met while being able to provide appropriate telephone coverage.
  • Be on-call 24x7 for system-related emergencies
