SNI Technology's client is immediately seeking to hire a talented, Systems Administrator on a full-time, direct-hire basis. This position is located at the Denver, CO headquarters.

The primary purpose of the Systems Administrator position is to administer and maintain all IT systems & infrastructure; leverage technology to meet the needs of the business and quickly resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers and maintains our infrastructure virtualization platforms, including updating and tuning these systems for optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Works with higher level administrators and engineers as upgrades & technology modernization efforts are carried out
  • E-mail system administration including spam filtering and secure e-mail solutions
  • Ensures that all critical IT systems are backed up and recoverable in a timely manner
  • Administers & maintains disaster recovery technology and contributes to documentation efforts
  • Has an eye for compliance by ensuring that requirements are met (including HIPAA)
  • Manages Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions including Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Understands licensing models and manages enterprise licenses as it pertains to hardware and software solutions
  • Manages the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment and ensures the successful operation and performance of this environment including holding 3rd party vendors accountable
  • Works with 3rd party technology vendors for technology solutions company-wide
  • Maintains and manages all critical business applications
  • Documents systems & solutions (i.e. OneNote)
  • Understands how the business operates and identifies areas of improvement
  • Identifies opportunities for improved processes and procedures within the IT department
  • Works with the PMO team on large projects as needed
  • Ensures the uptime and health of the environment through industry best monitoring tools, automation, and leveraging high availability configurations
  • Adheres to best practices for each technology stack
  • Proactive vs reactive mindset as it comes to addressing IT needs
  • Troubleshoots and remediates system issues
  • Escalation & training point for the Service Desk


  • 3+ years in IT Systems Administration or Systems Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms
  • Strong Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Core understanding of IT Networks and related technologies
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Certifications are a plus (e.g. MSCE, MCSA, CCNA, VMWare, etc.)


  • Virtualization platforms, particularly VMWare
  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server including print servers and file servers
  • Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Next Generation Antivirus(NGAV) & Endpoint Detection & Response(EDR)
  • Microsoft Exchange (On premise and cloud)
  • E-mail Security Appliances and related technologies
  • Microsoft cloud solutions including Office 365
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Networking technologies including VPNs, MPLS, DHCP, DNS, and wireless networks
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) devices such as Nimble
  • Understanding of ISCI & Fibre Channel

Additional insight on the position: This person will be the joining a 6 person IT infrastructure team (i.e. 2 help desk, 3 senior engineers, 1 IT Director). This role will bridge the gap between the help desk and senior engineering teams. This person will act as the escalation support contact troubleshooting Tier III support issues. This person will also have domain administrator access in this role. The hiring manager is targeting someone with 3-5 years' experience minimum, but has been more inclined towards those with 5 years' experience. The hiring manager is targeting someone who is curious and willing to pitch in to help if something is broken (i.e. takes initiative). This person will also need to have strong communication skills and a calm, positive demeanor. Expectation is that this person will be adept with their documentation skills (i.e. use OneNote for documentation).
