Job Description

Our client is seeking a Systems Security Administrator (SA) for an exciting contract to hire scenario.

  • The ESSA must perform Systems Administration duties to include issuing and manage Personal Identification Numbers for personnel authorized to arm and disarm individual accounts throughout USARC; installing security patches, IAVAS, and performing other services to obtain and maintain system certification.
  • The candidate must be a highly trained security specialist with experience in electronic security systems administration.
  • The candidate must update software to meet Information Assurance, Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliance and must be certified on the application software of the Access Control/Alarm System.
  • The ESSA must independently operate, inspect, diagnose, and perform minor repair for system problems and be capable of taking immediate actions to resolve malfunctions to the client.
  • The ESSA must be able to install, upgrade, maintain, configure, program software, and maintain application server hardware supporting the USARC ESS Program and must implement necessary patches, hotfixes, service packs, cumulative updates, and upgrades to meet security compliance and system integrity.
  • The ESSA must maintain scripts used for reporting, monitoring and analysis and must regularly monitor and prepare reports for systems integrity through reporting and analysis. Develop and document technical procedures and processes.


  • 3+ years of Windows Systems Administration
  • Security+ Certification
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • The ESSA must have Knowledge of physical security requirements outlined in DoD Instructions and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) as well as Windows based platforms.
  • The ESSA must have knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Bash scripts, Visual Basic Scripting, DOS scripts, SQL scripts, PowerShell, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Picture Perfect, Facility Commander, Linux, UNIX and must be able to use and develop work aids such as blue prints, schematics, and wiring, topology and rack elevation diagrams.
  • The ESSA must become familiar with the Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS). Input physical security IT based systems into APMS Data Entry Modules
  • Maintain and update systems in APMS as needed.
  • The ESSA will assist the Army Reserve physical security program manager with domain governance and management tasks related to the Defense Security Enterprise (DSE) Information Technology (IT) Domain.
