SQL Data Analyst

SNI Technology has been retained by a leading Healthcare IT/Business Solutions Provider in Jacksonville, FL to hire a SQL Data Analyst, in order to meet their growing Data Analysis, Reporting, and Management needs. The SQL Data Analyst will serve as an important part of the Data Team, working extensively with management and business units to solve dynamic and complex data analysis needs. This is a full time, permanent role and we are looking to interview and hire as soon as possible.

DUTIES:

  • Work hands-on with MS SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2016 for SQL report, query, and stored procedure development, as well as for SQL data analysis, manipulation, and optimization
  • Collect, evaluate, and prepare research and other complex, significant, and unique statistical or healthcare related data for specific business needs
  • Responsible for data reporting, converting customer requests into technical details, and ensuring deliverable commitments are met
  • Work directly with clients, leadership, and outside parties to research and identify business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow the development of the data and reporting solutions
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure database quality control and assist in development and implementation of measurement systems
  • Meet with Customers, Product Support, Business Development, and IT Development groups to determine project requirements and negotiate timelines and deliverables
  • Develop Ad-hoc Reports, Standard Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards, etc., using SQL-based reports and other Business Intelligence Reporting Tools (e.g. Cognos, etc.)
  • Perform complex data analysis across platforms using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
  • Assist with special projects to contribute to the overall business goals (e.g. Ad Hoc Reporting, Searches/Reviews, Program Evaluations, Quality Initiatives, Analysis, Development, etc.)
  • Work with the ETL Architect to handle, clean, and merge data using ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) standards and methodologies
  • Ensure newly generated data is mapped to Data Mart, ODS, and/or Data Warehouse
  • Identify database problems and inaccuracies
  • Collaborate with the Data Steward in developing decision rules for handling data problems
  • Apply rules consistently to correct data problems
  • Develop and maintain protocols for how to handle, process, and clean data
  • Work with Data Steward to document how data problems are identified and corrected
  • Support the work load and priorities of other Data Analysts
  • Develop and maintain the workflow processes for all reporting requests
  • Support processes and standards that result from purchasing any third party tool



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years experience using Business Intelligence tools to perform Report Development (e.g. Ad-hoc Reports, Standard Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards, etc.)
  • 2+ years' recent, hands-on experience working with SQL data analysis, manipulation, and optimization
  • Must have hands-on experience working with MS SQL Server 2008R2/2012 (experience working with MS SQL Server 2014/2016 is preferred but not required)
  • Proven background in SQL Server report, query, and stored procedure development (new, custom SQL development preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge and mastery of SQL language
  • Strong background using Business Intelligence reporting tools
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Knowledge of Data Modeling Concepts
