SNI Technology's client is seeking to hire a talented Software Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis! Please note this is a 100% remote work position.

SNI Technology's client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to assist in the development and maintenance of complex, multi-tier applications. The successful candidate will be meticulously organized and must pay close attention to detail. This candidate must have experience deploying large web-based applications used to primarily handle large datasets. At least three (3) years professional Java development is a must.

The Software Engineer will help with the design, development, and maintenance of our client's flagship product, as well as maintenance of two other applications. You will be expected to work across the whole application stack. As a Software Engineer, you will:

  • Help design and implement a cloud-hosted system
  • Use latest technology to assist in maintaining a CI environment
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Work with release management to ensure nightly build and test integration of all developed components
  • Provide application support and troubleshooting for system developers and client sites
  • Responsible for related and adequate unit tests to ensure consistency of builds throughout the projects for developed components
  • Responsible for the implementation of large, complex workflows, analytics and reporting systems for major projects, and new platform capabilities
  • Assess project risks, identify problems and solutions


  • At least three (3) years of software development experience in a Java environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, although those with extensive proven experience may qualify without a related degree
  • Experience developing and integrating RESTful Web Services
  • Experience using common Java frameworks and components
  • Experience with MySQL and large databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
  • Familiarity with GIT software versioning
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or Vue, Webpack, Hazelcast, Apache Lucene, Spring Frameworks
  • JSP experience a plus
  • Experience using third-party grid controls such as Kendo UI
  • Knowledge of test tools
  • Working knowledge of system-level monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Self-motivated
