Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET II Unicorn)
Remote allowed if candidate resides in (Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Virginia) If candidate prefers to work on-site, the client is based in Tampa, FL.
Global software development company is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II). This SDET will need to be a highly driven and effective professional. They will need to leverage their expertise, experience and passion to ensure they uphold the highest levels of quality and excellence for our clients.


Technical - deep experience in integrating a strong software development background with a passion for the discipline of quality assurance.

  • Evolve and mature automated test frameworks for desktop, web, and mobile apps and API's
  • Design test cases and execute all types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end) on all variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, portal frameworks)
  • Create, maintain and evolve test regression suites for project, pursuit and delivery related applications
  • Produce test estimates for testing activities
  • Produce status reports and quality metrics
  • Work closely with the Scrum team throughout a project to continually monitor and provide feedback on the quality of the product
  • Create a high level of understanding of the software functionally as it pertains to the project, pursuit and delivery application area
  • Stay updated with the latest software testing trends and tools
  • Demonstrate a deep passion for your craftsmanship and pride of ownership by delivering high quality and excellence to our clients

  • Skills/Competencies
    • 6+ years of professional coding experience in C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
    • 6+ years of experience using any of the following IDE or BBD tools (SpecFlow, Cucumber, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, etc.)
    • 4+ years UI Test automation experience with (Selenium and Protractor)
    • 4+ years of desktop automation experience (Ranorex, Test Complete, etc.)
    • 4+ years of hands-on working experience of testing REST, Web APIs or SOAP APIs (ASP.Net, Karate, MSTest, NUnit, Postman, and SoapUI)
    • Expertise in SQL programming (queries, joins, etc.)
    • Experience in all phases of the software and testing lifecycle, inception through deployment
    • Diverse experiences in leading test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution
    • Delivery input within Agile methodology projects (e.g., Scrum)
    • Proficiency using standard test management tools (Azure DevOps)
    • Experience using GIT, TFS or any other source code management tools
    • Experience with SauceLabs or similar device testing farms
    • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills


  • Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS, and at least 6+ years of work-related experience
  • 6+ years of experience in software testing
  • 6+ years of automation scripting


  • AWS Certified Cloud Architect or Practitioner - (Desired)
  • Certified Software Test Automation Specialist (CSTAS) - (Desired)
