Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Maintains data, voice and/or video network hardware and systems.
  • Researches, analyzes, isolates and resolves errors.
  • Updates older networks as needed and in accordance with specified plans.
  • Proficient in designing, implementing and maintaining various networks such as WAN, LAN, and voice systems in line with industry standards/requirements.
  • Ability to prepare data or voice network diagrams to document and assist in communicating current operational status of networks.
  • Generate, review and track trouble tickets.
  • Responsible for resolving client issues.
  • Create and implement troubleshooting guides for personnel.
  • Maintain ongoing communication between support and engineering staff especially in times of outages or service impact.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of Cisco network technologies - Switching, Routing, Firewalls, IPS
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot errors and determine their source (OS, hardware, software, etc.)
  • Virtualization experience with VMWare.
  • Knowledge of desktop and server hardware.
  • Bachelors in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated work in the Information Technology field.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL Service Delivery
