Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist who works independently or only under general direction on all phases of quality assurance including the administrative management of contract staff, on moderately large/complex projects. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist analyzes large amounts of data in order to identify deviations in that data. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist researches questionable data with users. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist develops specifications to address data discrepancies based on the results of research with users, and identifies data reduction processes to assist in the analysis of automated information.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Has familiarity and experience with standardized project management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile (with SAFe), DevSecOPS, SELC, CMMI, ISSO, IEEE, PMI, etc).
  • Prepares milestone status reports and delivers oral presentations on quality assurance concepts to colleagues, subordinates, and user representatives.
  • Provides technical direction to other staff members as needed.
  • Experience with an SDLC, Agile (Scrum and Kanban) processes and understand the required artifacts at the various stages is preferred.
  • Developing and maintaining a QA Plan, QA Metrics Plan, QA Process and QA Procedures, QA Templates and QA Audit Checklists, QA Audit criteria for QA Processes and Procedures.
  • Audits software development Process and Products according to strict government quality standards and reports on discrepancies, progress and corrective actions.
  • Performs analysis of large amounts of data to identify deviations.
  • Performs quality assurance testing on deliverable and work products for correctness and adherence to the design concept and to Government standards; and reviews progress in accordance with schedules.
  • Performs research of questionable data with users.
  • Develops specifications to address data discrepancies.
  • Coordinates with the Project Manager, COTR, and Government technical and functional personnel, to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
