SNI Technology is pleased to represent our client in their search for a Security Admin to join their quickly growing security services team in San Antonio, TX. This is a direct-hire/perm position within the organization.
The Security Administrator will implement security policies and procedures and troubleshoot network access problems. Ensure network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
Please note:

Applicants should be open to working a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday. This includes working a 4 day x 10 hour schedule during 2nd or 3rd shift times. This is necessary to support their SOC environment around the clock.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Security Administration, preferably working within an MSSP.
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Technology role.
  • Must have proven experience implementing, maintaining and writing policies within technologies such as firewalls, SIEMs, Load Balancers, and HIPS/NIPS.
  • Operating systems knowledge and systems administration skills for various versions of UNIX, LINUX, and Windows and Windows Server.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Security+ SANS/GIAC (GSEC) a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, audits, and risk management.
  • Experience in information security, ideally in multi-platform environments preferred.
  • Experience with analyzing security attacks and exploits.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and code.
  • Access Control Concepts, Methodologies, and Techniques.
  • Experience in the evaluation of new technology and security threats as they arise.
  • Familiarity with information security best practices.
  • Demonstrated documentation skills including creation of project metric reports and the creation of communication plans and change control documents.
