Quality Assurance Automation Lead (Performance & Test Data Management)
*This position is currently remote due to Covid-19 but will resume to on-site once determined by corporate*
Automation and Performance leader who can manage a team of of automation and performance testers. Build reliability, performance and security of application from sign-in to completing the end to end process. Working hand in hand with the QA Manager to help with the global vision of automation engineering.
Position Description:
Lead Automation and Performance QA Engineering. Located in Saint Petersburg, FL. Help manage a team of offshore Automation and Performance engineers. Work closely with the QA Manager, the development team leads and product management on tasks related to strategic decisions and improvement of the processes. Support the scrum teams from business requirements to test automation, documentation and the Scrum process itself. Contribute to hands-on Testing and Automation within sprint cycles.
As the QA Automation, Performance and Test Data Management Lead you will be responsible for the quality and testing automation strategy along with the core applications and tooling that supports it. You will create robust, repeatable processes and automation to safeguard our customer experience as well as increase efficiency of our applications and teams.   • Lead and champion best practices and uphold a culture that is committed to quality, BDD driven testing and repeatable processes through automation.
  • Develop and enforce a standard process for testing all releases that includes automation into the software build, test, and release process.
  • Design and create test strategies - creating test plans to what will be needed for the current repository of automation for the product releases, with an eye to validating business requirements.
  • Maintain exemplary knowledge of product business, functional and operational requirements in order to incorporate into test strategies, day to day testing and reporting.
  • Conduct release testing, reporting individual and summarized results to Product & Technical Development team.
  • Assess and communicate product/release health based upon understanding of business and consumer strategy and priorities.
  • Manage multiple projects and phases of testing cycles - planning and execution simultaneously.
  • Hands-on testing of application to check for automation or performance failures.
  • Develops, maintains Automated or Performance test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge or experience with software automation tools and frameworks. Selenium, Java, Maven, Test NG and Cucumber.
  • Passionate about delivering high quality experiences.
  • Proven success in collaborating with both business, functional and technical resources, and able to quickly identify and manage complex issues to resolution.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with a high release frequency.
  • Solid experience working with bug tracking tool Azure Dev-ops.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A passion for learning, sharing knowledge, mentoring, and working in a team setting with engineers of varying levels of experience.
  • Experience in Test Management Tool ALM preferred.
  • Offshore team co-ordination a must.
  • Planning, Monitoring and Control of Automation and Performance Testing Activities and Tasks.
  • Participate in Sprint planning and Agile ceremonies
  • Defect management and attending triage calls.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in Automation of a Web applications.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year of Test Data Management experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Setting up Mock Services, preferably with Blazemeter.
  • Experience in creating Test Strategy documents to show automated testing of sprint releases.
  • Well versed in the compliance & quality processes and methods and has demonstrated strength in problem solving and resolution
  • Analytical, Problem Solver, Team Player.
  • Test Automation: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Leadership: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem-solving
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Education / Qualifications / Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
