SNI Technology is proud to be working with a fast growing Non Profit organization in the Northwest Suburbs in their quest to add a Sr Network Administrator to their team. Our client is active in the community and they are a proven leader in their field. They are looking to hire someone who has a passion for teamwork, learning and technology. In this role, the Network Admin will function as a sort of "Jack of all trades" and will provide support to upwards of 100 onsite users.

To be successful in this role, the Network Administrator will:

  • Be solely responsible for the support, maintenance and implementation of the company's infrastructure including implementing strategic infrastructure designs
  • Ensure all network and systems are upgraded proactively to ensure all devices are supported
  • Provide Network/Systems Administration for the entire organization. Including: securing the network by developing network access; monitoring and control of the endpoint security system
  • Establish network specifications by evaluating network performance issues. Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; define network policies and procedures; establish connections, firewall rules and the necessary protocols.
  • Assist with providing first line support to the Help Desk team

Requirements for the Network Administrator role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or related)
  • 5+ years of hands on experience with supporting multiple protocol networks, administrating VMware, Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Server 2008
  • The Network Administrator must be able to work standard business hours while also being available as needed "off hours" for emergencies
