SNI Technology's client is looking to hire a Lead .NET Developer for an exciting full-time, contract-to-hire position located in Denver, CO!

Top Things Needed:

  • 7+ years of software development experience is required.
  • Must have significant skills and experience in the following:
  • WinForms; TFS Source Control; .NET 4.5 or newer; Visual Studio; C#/VB.NET, SQL Server, SQL Server stored procedures, and software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Has the leadership skills to plan and organize small projects and lead them to success. "Small" means 2 to 3 people for 2 to 3 months.

Lead .NET Developer

SNI Technology's client is seeking a Lead .NET Developer with at least 7 years of software development experience to enhance and maintain their existing, custom Supply Chain Management system (SCM) for their rapidly changing and growing business.

Candidate must be a self-starter, a fast-learner, and have the ability to think through complex problems and create robust designs. Our client's developers work in small teams and are involved in all stages of the Agile software development lifecycle. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate complex ideas verbally and written with technical and business areas.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Develop enhancements make fixes to existing applications
  • Perform analysis, design, coding, testing, training, and documentation.
  • Organize and lead small projects to successful on time implementations

Candidate must-have significant experience with the following technologies:

  • WinForms
  • TFS Source Control
  • .Net 4.5 or newer
  • Visual Studio
  • C#/VB.Net
  • SQL Server
  • SQL Server stored procedures
  • Software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum

Other technical skills that will be helpful include the following:

  • Experience with SCM systems
  • WPF
  • Telerik

Important Notes -

  • The ideal candidate has the following attributes:
    • Very smart, quick thinker, grasps complex concepts easily. Adaptable to changing situations.
    • Tries to keep up to date on technologies but is not necessarily an expert or have significant experience in the latest technologies.
    • Has experience working in an environment where software development methodologies are followed.
    • Is a team player and can get along with others in a fast paced IT environment
    • Has the leadership skills to plan and organize small projects and lead them to success. "Small" means 2 to 3 people for 2 to 3 months.
    • Has a reasonable commute.
    • Is able to deal with a large, complex legacy applications without just wanting to rewrite everything. They need some demonstrated experience with this. They need to like working on puzzles.
    • Has the interest and ability to work with business users to solve problems and to communicate technical issues.
  • A candidate would not be a fit if:
    • They have a long commute and are not used to a long commutes.
    • They prefer working on "greenfield" projects.
    • They really want to work on new technologies.
    • They don't understand the value of following software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum. Questions like "Who was responsible for testing on that project?" can help determine this.
    • They are only interested in individual contributor roles.
    • They have a rough personality and will not have the patience to work with users who may not be very computer literate.
  • If they perform well on the job, they can expect to learn new technologies and move to the new technology team in a few years.

Candidate must have bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

This position is located at our Denver office. This is not a remote position.
