SNI Technology's client is actively looking to hire an ITSM ServiceNow Developer for an exciting direct-hire opportunity in Lakewood, CO!

SUMMARY:

SNI Technology's client is seeking a talented ITSM Developer for ServiceNow with a passion and expertise for ITSM development. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for configuring, administering and scripting the ServiceNow ITSM tool. This role will work with the project team to develop innovative technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of IT and other departments seeking to use ServiceNow.

The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible in the design, development, and orchestration of the workflow for change management forms, administration, incidents, request forms, upgrades, patch needs and audit needs within the ITSM tool, ServiceNow. In this role, you will design and implement software that is simple, intuitive, and easy to use that will extend the functionality within our ITSM tool to meet specific IT and Business needs. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will implement processes and document procedures to ensure consistency across the ITSM system for development, test, and production environments. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring new and existing staff and providing group training on specific subject areas as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform implementation tasks including but not limited to: configuration, testing, integration, and custom development
  • Develop clear and concise technical and process documentation, making use of the knowledgebase module within the tool and department manuals
  • Communicate tool process, operations and capability information to all levels of management and other applicable resources
  • Develop systems integrations and process automation - fully utilizing the platform's workflow capabilities
  • Create reports and dashboards
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of tools used and its applications to ensure audit and user requirements are met accurately and timely
  • Support the design of integrations and work with vendor product, business partners and technical teams for implementation
  • Identify and define solutions for ITIL users
  • Collaborate with Software Quality Assurance, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Development teams to create and evolve policies, best practices, and provide orchestration of workflow
  • Responsible for overseeing daily operational and administrative tasks within the ITSM solution
  • Administer all user accounts and access for our test, development and production instances
  • Define requirements for departmental needs in ITSM
  • Coordinate and provide internal training to various IT teams
  • Future on-call coverage expected and implementations outside normal business hours
  • Ensure Best Practices and standards are being followed
  • Make and implement suggestions for improving the development process
  • Define architecture needs for future strategy and growth needs
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION:

  • Non-degreed personnel will have a minimum of 2 years' experience with ServiceNow development or similar ITSM tool development
  • Degreed personnel will have a minimum of 1 year of experience with ServiceNow development or similar ITSM tool development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical field preferred
  • Strong experience in software development methodologies
  • Working experience with web-based or packaged development languages and integration
  • Demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes, operations, and procedures

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of IT support processes such as Incident Management, Asset Management and Change Management
  • Understanding of appropriate escalation paths for technical issues and internal support requests
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities while demonstrating critical thinking
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Clear understanding of logic flow and process work flows
  • Working experience of databases, Active Directory, ITIL and scripting experience is a plus
  • Ability to solve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Working knowledge of information security concepts and techniques, as they apply to enterprise operating systems and applications
  • Ability to lead initiatives and manage projects with minimal guidance
  • Strong analytical, estimating and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies
  • Experience with processes involving problem identification, recovery, escalation and resolution
  • Working knowledge of relational databases
  • Able to function well in a fast-paced and adaptive environment
  • Advanced Scripting/Reporting
  • Knowledge with HTML, XML, Web Services, and JavaScript
  • Experience in producing enterprise level reports, including compiling data from several different sources
