Job Description


Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator for an exciting direct hire opportunity. The IT Project Coordinator supports a client's services team with critical project tool set up, estimate and budget development, tracking of risks, actions, issues and decisions; charter development, schedule development to support effective and efficient project execution.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Timely and accurate reporting of work efforts to the correct projects and work categories.
  • Compile and maintain project status reports and minutes of key meetings.
  • Maintain project schedules.
  • Assist in tracking project milestones and deliveries, providing follow-up and reports as required.
  • Documenting and reconciling a project deliverable log in support of project phase gates for the PM.
  • Assist project managers in the planning, tracking, analyzing and coordinating multiple
  • projects.
  • Maintaining risk, action item, issue, and decision log which is packaged and communicated on a recurring basis.
  • Communicating relevant information to all team members, such as change in schedule dates, changes in the project's requirements, unexpected blockers/challenges etc.
  • Coordinate preparation of team status reporting to the Professional Services management team.
  • Assist project managers in validating financial forecasts and providing ongoing reconciliation of resources and other project expenditures.
  • Maintaining required Program and Project methodology Software Development Lifecycle deliverables in support of the Program or Project Manager, specifically ensuring Phase Gate controls and approvals are completed.
  • Ensuring adherence to Program and Project Management standard practices set by Insurance Technologies and utilizing metrics to identify preventive and corrective actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree in business, or a technology related field is preferred; or, equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience supporting the management of medium or large cross technology IT or business projects required.
  • Possess a basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and exposure to differing development methodologies is required.
  • Prior experience utilizing MS Office Tools and project management tools such as MS Project preferred.
  • Prior Insurance or Financial services industry background is preferred.
