Job Summary
The PC/IT Technician will assist in supporting a 24/7 operation in a multi-operating system environment (mainly Windows) to ensure all IT and other systems are fully operational and functioning as desired. This relates to all technology, to include workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software. Must be hands on and customer service oriented.

Essential Job Functions

  • Fully support company's strategy and execution.
  • Act as the highest level of escalation for user problems within the help desk.
  • Propose and build solutions to manage infrastructure including network, server and computer systems.
  • Act as the "First, second and third level of response" for user problems within the help desk.
  • Provide creative solutions to escalations to ensure user satisfaction and productivity.
  • Coordinate user and support issues among corporate sites to ensure timely distribution of knowledge and positive impact on user satisfaction and productivity.
  • Develop and direct projects to improve help desk support capability.
  • Follow PCI Compliance and develop best practices to maintain security within the computer system.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives that support the company's goals.
  • Motivate him/herself and others around them to ensure we have focus on long and short-term objectives.
  • Identify risks, provide and implement solutions that allow for innovation and change.
  • Complete system audits that includes all server and network systems.
  • Continuously drive performance enhancement and real value for clients and employees.
  • Maintains communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
  • Manages all telephone technical related matters by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Establishes voice networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment.
  • Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
  • Maintains voice system by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing and updating documentation.
  • Provide rotational after-hour, on-call support for the entire IT infrastructure (24/7); Ability to work on weekends is necessary.

Experience Required

  • 2 years of experience working with personal computers and local networks, knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/7/XP as well as Active Dir./365/Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 required. Hospitality/POS background preferred.
  • Must possess good communication and clerical skills.
  • Must be able to install and set up personal computers and printers; ability to troubleshoot and repair various problems associated with personal computers, LAN/WAN.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of people; maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; be able to manage multiple projects.
