Our client is seeking an IT Operations Manager for an exciting contract to hire scenario. As the IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of IT for a global organization, that can team together with the Asst. Director of IT, to help strategize, develop, implement and support global technology solutions. This candidate will be responsible for leading, organizing and managing IT Operations including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline and development of the operations team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as previous experience meeting with senior staff to help define, solve and implement technology solutions within a timely manner across multiple departments/locations is a must..

DUTIES:

  • Will manage all IT Operations related needs, initiatives and operations
  • Manage and monitor IT projects and activities related to the IT Operations department in a timely manner and provide periodic progress reports to the Asst. Director of IT
  • Responsible for managing the IT Operations department staff (IT Helpdesk and other operations staff as needed); including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline and development
  • Responsible for defining, reviewing and maintaining technology purchases, inventory and hardware/software replacement cycles
  • Review and maintain data protection and emergency recovery plans
  • Manage the development and documentation of IT Operations policies, procedures, workflows (SLAs) and standardizations
  • Managing daily operations including analyzing workflow, developing standards and procedures, ensuring projects are progressing, creating budgets, negotiating contracts, and prioritizing deadlines with an emphasis on aligning with firm objectives
  • Ability to write technical job descriptions, interview applicants for different roles within IT and manage the IT Services Department effectively
  • Managing IT budget/purchases across all the departments of a corporation
  • Other tasks as needed



Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a minimum of 8+ years of increasing IT Administration and Management responsibility in a multi-system, multi-platform environment
  • 5+ years combined experience in technical support, Network/Systems administration, backups, data protection, emergency recovery, telephony VOIP systems, Office 365, Project Management, budgeting, purchasing, and Management
  • 5+ years managing IT Department budget/purchases while creating and maintaining vendor relations
  • Must have good understanding of network topologies, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL, Windows/Print/File/Applications servers, Office 365, Windows and MAC operating systems, server/computer hardware, Active Directory, group policies, data protection, disaster recovery plans, backups and Cloud services
  • Familiar with installing and supporting SMS, LMS, CRM and Accounting software applications a plus
  • Must have outstanding Project Management, documentation, follow-through, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have experience Managing corporate wide projects from conception to completion
  • Experience managing and leading an IT Department in a multi-site international company
  • Proven IT and Project Management process improvement and documentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Developing and managing a multi-site International IT organization
