SNI Technology's client located in Centennial, CO is actively looking to hire an IT Infrastructure Lead for an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity!

SUMMARY:

SNI Technology's client is looking for an experienced and strategic IT Infrastructure Lead ready to lead a mission-oriented, global IT Infrastructure Engineering Team. This positions primary responsibilities will include:

Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team within the Information Technology (IT) department. Responsible for operations and maintenance of key IT infrastructure including areas such as virtualization, storage, networking, server administration, telecommunications, customer service, desktop/laptop computer support, and IT security and data security.

Continually improve technology architecture, system resilience and capacity, and incident response capabilities while meeting service level expectations. Maintain intradepartmental and interdepartmental relationships and provide critical communication to key leaders and stakeholders relative to IT infrastructure initiatives. Serve as the primary point of accountability for, and escalation of IT infrastructure issues, including infrastructure-related service requests from teams across IT, and service desk, as well as customers and stakeholders outside of IT. Focus on improved efficiency and performance, uplifting service to customers, reviewing the team roster, challenges, and culture.

The ideal candidate will have prior global IT management experience, hands-on technical skills in networking and systems administration, and the ability to inspire and motivate team members, while also keeping urgency into 24x7 operations support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team to ensure that service levels exceed targets, projects meet operational success criteria, and customer expectations are met, particularly in relation to the performance of the core network, server systems, LAN infrastructure, telecom, user support, and IT security and data security measures.
  • Provide strategic planning support to the Chief Information Officer. Provide active and engaged leadership in the IT infrastructure space with respect to architecture, operations, project work, and security posture. Develop communications strategies around projects, issues, and company priorities under guidance from the CIO.
  • Under guidance from the CIO, continually improve the following: alignment of the work in this space with the needs and strategy of the larger organization, key business processes and performance indicators, and reduction or elimination of areas where knowledge and/or burden are concentrated in an individual team member with no backup from internal or external sources. Report such progress on a regular basis to IT leadership.
  • Provide performance evaluations and growth plans to IT Infrastructure team members. Evaluate training options in relation to staff development and organizational needs and facilitate training for the IT Infrastructure team. Maintain the professional technical ability to evaluate and direct the quality of configuration and service provided by IT Infrastructure team.
  • Helps drive continuous improvement on the quality and availability of company's technology infrastructure, offer services to assist the business units or to enhance security and stability, and to offer effective customer service of Information Technology's internal and external customers.
  • Lead mid to large-scale projects to ensure successful transition and necessary certification of production ready/standards of technologies.
  • Provides strategic and tactical planning, development, architectural design, evaluation, and coordination of information technology systems.
  • Coordinates the integration of data, information, and communications systems and serves as the catalyst for new systems development.
  • Provides management, direction and leadership in several functional IT areas such as applications development, computer operations, networking, technical support, or systems administration.
  • Network & Servers: Provides input into technology standards on Active Directory, Application Servers, Network Routers, and Network Switches. Create, maintain, and support hardware and software. Install operating systems, software patches, and include technology like anti-spy ware/anti-virus. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and monitor technology errors. Ensure network is optimized, performing up to expected service levels. Implement proactive technology monitoring, actions, and response in the technology environment to increase availability for business activities. HP Layer 3 switches, routers, firewalls; Palo Alto.
  • Telecommunications: Supports VoIP PBX, Phone Sets, and smart cell phone solutions. Monitor cell phone voice and data usage and apply appropriate plan for international and domestic users.
  • Customer Service: Provide customer service for IT services to internal, International, and external customers and partners. Provide IT customer service to all computers, telephony, and network end users. Work with IT partners such as. Oracle, IFS, ViaWest, Microsoft, Cisco, Verizon, and others.
  • Desktop/Laptop Computer Support: Provide leadership to team on company-wide efforts on repair and maintaining of laptop and desktop computer hardware, software, and other computing peripherals.
  • IT Security and Data Security: Administers and maintains the company's computer related security software.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Experience /Skills
IT certifications such as: Oracle, Microsoft, Citrix, and/or Cisco a plus

Education
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field + 12+ years of related IT work experience including minimum of 5+ years of progressive IT management experience in an enterprise IT environment.

Related Work Experience
Requires Minimum of 15+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
