Job Description

SNI Technology is looking for a motivated candidate who takes initiative, is detail-oriented, and enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges. The IT Application Engineer will serve as an architect for the installation or upgrade for multiple applications, as well as perform analysis for issues within our production environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform application design, integration, and implementation
  • Definition and documentation of application architectures and system topologies
  • Application integration design and development using multiple methods for authentication and data integration such as for API, databases, SAML, middleware, MFA, etc.
  • Evaluate existing applications, and identify issues with current architecture and integration
  • Understanding of multiple application deployments; on premises, cloud, SaaS
  • Evaluation of Desktop/Laptop/Server hardware configurations, and multi-tier client/server architectures
  • Review vendor installation guides or system requirements and ensure they conform to our client's environment and work with vendors on installations
  • Utilize a security minded approach when working on upgrades and implementations
  • Create application workflows
  • Develop relationships with 3rd party vendors and integration consultants
  • Support maintenance window activities such as server maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Interface with the user community to keep up with best practices in the industry
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for operations, test plans, disaster recovery plans, diagrams and flow charts
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Proactively monitor and analyze logs and metrics around utilization and capacity
  • Carry out daily maintenance, project, and support duties with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and manage changing priorities


  • 6+ years implementing and supporting application technical architecture
  • Working knowledge of vendor APIs, Active Directory, Networking, and Windows security.
  • Strong Technical Analytical Skills - able to solve complex problems
  • Experience in C # development, Microsoft Product Integration preferred

  • Bachelor's degree
