Helpdesk contract position available in Miramar, FL


Responsibilities

  • Provide primary technical support and daily operations of client systems and networks. Activities will include: Windows server/workstation support, troubleshooting network problems, managing user accounts, managing email systems, firewalls and maintenance.
  • Operating System maintenance/installations/upgrades of SBS, Windows Servers, Windows XP/Vista/Win7/Win8
  • Support of Windows Workstation and server Operating System maintenance
  • Technical Support via telephone, email and remote tools
  • PC repairs/upgrades
  • LAN administration: routers, Firewall, LAN, WAN, VOIP and VPN configurations
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Manage Server applications: Active Directory, IIS, Grp Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SMTP
  • Manage client caseload ensuring clients receive prompt assistance
  • Check and configure Backup Systems
  • Configure, monitor and replace RAID0, RAID1, and RAID5
  • Document resolutions and submit to the knowledge base
  • Conduct installs and migrations
  • Configuration of printers and scanners
  • Microsoft Office Applications - Outlook Word Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience


Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Cisco certification is a plus Strong networking skills
  • Experience working at and MSP (Managed Services Provider) preferred
  • Expert problem-solver
  • Dedicated to exceeding quality standards and providing service of the highest caliber
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks
  • Experience troubleshooting networked PCs
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to research and solve problems
  • Must be able to be on-call for support emergencies
  • Comfortable working fast paced environments
  • Must be hardworking and a self-starter
  • Professional conduct and confidentiality with clients is required


Education:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • AS/AA degree preferred.
