Contract to Hire Opportunity (no 3rd parties or sponsorship options)

We have a client in the Hartford area looking for a Help Desk Technician to join the team. We've made over 20 placements with this organization. The role is ultimately a Permanent job, but they are doing the process on a Contract to Hire basis.

Primary responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for hardware and software issues via a help desk ticketing system, phone or in person
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information through resolution
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Document steps performed to resolve problems in knowledge management database
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware, software and peripherals

Looking for:

  • 2-3 years of Help Desk or Technical Support Experience
  • Windows 10, Exchange, and MS Office
  • Knowledge of AD, LAN, and basic network troubleshooting
