Job Description


The Digital Curator will play a key role in collecting, organizing, and making available and accessible digital assets relating to the creative projects and history of the organization. This individual is a service-oriented curator who will maintain the development and implementation of a digital asset management solution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Upload, tag, and archive documents, projects, videos, images, and any other digital assets
  • Provide expertise on issues related to archival descriptive standards, intellectual property rights, digital conversion of archival material and metadata creation
  • Serve as daily digital asset resource for various departments, teams, and projects
  • Ensure all assets have corresponding licenses, right-to-use waivers, and any other legal documentation which will be digitally stored, organized, and kept up-to-date
  • Oversee the adoption, implementation, and review of new technologies and methods to ensure quality of cataloging, metadata, and access to DAM solution services
  • Develop, maintain, and provide enhancements to digital library processes to ensure effective and efficient delivery of library digital assets and services
  • Perform original cataloging as needed
  • Keep current with trends in web and DAM solution technologies
  • Anticipate the photo/footage needs for upcoming projects
  • Assist with continued development and support of overall WWP brand
  • Occasionally aid in production of marketing assets by finding appropriate photos/footage and archiving all photos/footage for future use
  • Contribute designs as well as ideas to all digital asset creation projects
  • Ensure assets follow establish quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of DAM solutions and processes
  • Basic understanding of past and present media storage solutions
  • Proficiency in using computers and media-related software required
  • Experience using Microsoft office suite
  • Experience using different modules of integrated library systems
  • Proficient using MAC and Windows
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong visual eye
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and creative team player
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of social media platform requirements
  • Diligent, able to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and prioritize
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* A bachelor's degree in a media related field or technical discipline and four (2) years of applicable experience in media services, archival, or related fields
* OR 5 years specified experience will be considered in lieu of degree
* Photoshop and Premiere or other post-processing software experience a plus
