Job Description

Start - ASAP-urgent need
Qualifications: Must be able to lift 30 lbs or more, and crawl under desks for equipment movement, wiring etc. Would be a big plus if they have VPN or VDI experience and EXCEL for reporting.

This person would be part of a team that supports our work at home field staff. Junior level experience (1-2 years) is okay. They will be supporting staff over the phone as they work remotely, but also participating in desktop support efforts in the Tampa office as well.

Job Description:
Provide quality day-to-day desktop support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and technical expertise, within the required timelines. Troubleshoot complex hardware problems (Desktop, Laptop and Printers). Works under moderate supervision.


* Manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, be responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking.
* Provides entry level, basic technical support of desktop computers, thin clients, applications, and related technology.
* Assist customers with IT related users in a Service Desk setting, troubleshooting issues and resolving where applicable remotely.
* Respond to requests and problems including installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC/Thin Client/MAC hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
* Interact with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
* Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop, laptops, MACs, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
* Troubleshoot trouble tickets to resolve basic technical problems with desktop computing equipment primarily over the phone.
* Provide customer assistance using Active Directory services and remote access tools.
* Assist with hardware troubleshooting on desktop computers, laptops, MACs and thin client computers.
* Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Associate's Degree in Information Systems or the equivalent. Minimum of one to three years Desktop Support required.
* Desktop support experience on PC's with Windows operating systems (Win7 / Win8), Mac's and Virtual Desktop
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (2003, 2007, 2010) with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel.
* Able to troubleshoot complex hardware problems (Desktop, Laptop and Printers)
* Provide Telephony support (Nortel PBX, Contact Center Administration). Proficiency in Mobile Support (Blackberry and VPN).
* Excellent oral/written problem solving and customer service skills also required.
* Technical proficiency in relevant operating systems, applications, and/or languages and programming, debugging skills required.
