TOP MEP FIRM SEEKING A CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION ENGINEER



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Interact with the client, design team, and contractor(s) to resolve construction issues expeditiously and efficiently
* Deal with critical construction issues over the phone and in person at job sites; conduct progress and coordination meetings to address any construction issues
* Review, respond, and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders
* Prepare revised construction documents to illustrate and document approved changes
* Participate in on-site verification of construction progress, coordination with the contractor and design team, and verification of Code compliance, as needed
* Manage multiple projects in the CA phase simultaneously
* Assist with advanced design and redline of drawings, details, diagrams and isometrics per company standards
* Handle escalated client questions and concerns
* Attend internal and external team meetings
* Attend on-site construction meetings

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Research and propose processes and procedures to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of production functions
* Personnel mentoring and development in conjunction with annual review goals - provide input to Sr. Operations regarding personnel performance
* Assist Accounts Receivable with reviewing of monthly billing for completeness and monitoring of goals

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Graduation from an accredited engineering curriculum and status as a licensed professional engineer, PE, is preferred
* Ten (10) years of engineering design experience with commercial buildings, HVAC, and Plumbing systems is mandatory
* Experience in field construction is strongly preferred
* Advanced knowledge of interaction between all construction disciplines and systems
* Able to read, write, and understand written and verbal instruction in English
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent organizational skills and reasoning abilities
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on all projects to completion
