The Concrete Project Manager (CPM) is a multi-faceted position that requires multiple areas of expertise and responsibility, those areas being Business Development, Estimating and Project Management/Project Administration. Qualifications:



  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in the construction industry with a focus on concrete construction. This includes but is not limited to: post tension slab on grade, footings, foundations, walls, shoring, flat plate, site concrete, architectural concrete, elevated post tension decks, columns, etc.

  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in the construction industry in Project management, estimating and business development.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent field and office experience.

  • Leadership, organizational, marketing, estimating, scheduling and project management skills





Essential Functions:



  • Assumes accountability and ownership of the project

  • Is responsible for project safety and environment programs

  • Sets up project reporting procedures

  • Understands and enforces contractual responsibilities, contract documents and dispute resolution

  • Ensures timely project completion through effective project scheduling, timely delivery of materials and efficient management of material & document submittals/ approvals

  • Negotiates and issues subcontracts and major purchase orders and monitors their progress

  • Negotiates, prepares, issues and executes change orders to subcontractors and prepares any revisions to original budget

  • Prepares and issues monthly owner progress reports, schedules and cost reports

  • Develops insurance compliance with site-specific quality control and safety plans

  • Professional and personable demeanor.

  • Knowledge of concrete and general building construction.

  • Knowledge of the Denver and Colorado construction market and its key participants and influencers.

  • Be credible with clients and influencers.

  • Be an excellent communicator and an ambassador for the company.

  • Write excellent estimate proposals.

  • Demonstrated self-driven desire for frequent face-to-face meetings with clients and influencers in both business and social settings that lead to business opportunities.

  • Skilled salesperson.

  • Knowledge of company organization, policies, practices, and personnel.

  • Ability to work with Cosential, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and graphic software.

  • Continuously cultivate and maintain positive relations with multiple sources (A/E's, sub-contractors, consultants, trade association, etc.) and help facilitate the company-wide proactive cultivation of relationships.

  • Thorough knowledge of building systems, current market pricing, and practical application of modern quantification and estimating technique from Conceptual and Schematic Design through final GMP budgets.

  • Detail oriented and the ability to produce accurate and timely quantity surveys and estimates for large building projects.

  • Ability to hit established deadlines.

  • Demonstrated passion for estimating.

  • Timely presentation of problem issues; offered with optimal solutions and the drive to secure timely answers.
