Job Description


Our client is seeking an Application Support Analyst for a contract to hire scenario. The Application Support Analyst will provide technical support to our customers and provide first level support via phone, email and other electronic media. You will direct customers in the use of our products, and identify areas to upsell when appropriate. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to use analytical skills to resolve issues within your scope of knowledge. You must be willing to work additional hours when needed to meet the needs of the customer
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer and respond to customer inquiries
  • Work independently in a fast moving, dynamic organization
  • Solve practical problems of diverse scope and interpret instructions from various sources
  • Manage time, organize work efforts, and multi-task across a variety of responsibilities
  • Ability to read and understand technical publications, regulations, and procedure manuals, and interpret correctly
  • Ability to present information in written and spoken formats across different subject matter


REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of phone based technical support experience with computer software and hardware.
  • Ability to write effective communication, including report generation
  • Ability to use email, FTP and web browsers
  • Experience solving hardware and software issues
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS: SQL, including query statements; utilization of tools, such as query Analyzer/SQL Server Manager Studio/SQL Profiler.
  • Experience with database optimization tuning/indexing, DB design and understanding roles and users, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS: 2003, 2008, XP and Win 7/10, client-server applications, shares, user rights, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: 2003, 2007, 2010.
  • Basic Knowledge of IIS, MSMQ, .NET and Exchange.
  • Basic knowledge of Smart Phone operating systems: Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering with MCSE or MSSQL certification preferred.
