SNI Technology's client in Louisville, CO is seeking to hire an Application Support Engineer for an exciting, six (6) month contract opportunity!

Position Description
SNI Technology's client's Software Development team, which is responsible for our client's commerce and course platforms, is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to work at their offices in Louisville, CO.

The Application Support Engineer will collaborate closely with the software development team and customer service to understand incoming defect reports, verify them, and then either correct them or define future work to resolve them. In addition, this person will support the development team with application configuration, deployments, and the improvement of our client's internal systems, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate production issues by understanding and reproducing the problem, including reviewing internal logs, querying databases, and verifying API and server connectivity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, prioritize, and resolve problems.
  • Debug development environment issues, including application configuration, database configuration, DNS routing, and connectivity.
  • Create and enhance utility web applications and reports to support other teams.
  • Maintain and update deployment scripts and processes.
  • Deploy updates to our commerce, course, and other systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with production LAMP applications
  • Experience with PHP; Laravel experience is a plus
  • Hands on use of various AWS services, including EC2, RDS, and ElastiCache
  • Ability to test and work with RESTful and SOAP APIs
  • Able to create SQL commands and work with SQL servers
  • Has used source code control systems, such as git
  • Experience troubleshooting web applications using New Relic, CloudWatch, Nagios, and other tools.
  • As comfortable on the Linux command line as a fish is in water
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
