SNI Technology’s top client located in Thornton, CO is immediately seeking to hire a talented IT Network/Systems Administrator I for an exciting full-time, permanent position. Please note this position is primarily an onsite position (i.e., 4 days in-office per week) with the ability to work remotely (i.e., 1 day work from home per week). Fully remote work is not available for this position.
IT NETWORK/SYSTEMS ADMINSTRATOR I
SNI Technology’s client is looking for an IT Network/Systems Administrator I to play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and operation of their IT networking systems and equipment. This position encompasses monitoring of network performance, assisting with deployment of solutions and equipment, maintaining system documentation, and managing hardware and software components. Working in close collaboration with other members of IT, assists with testing and resolving technical issues while adhering to the organization’s standards, security protocols, and operational procedures. With a strong emphasis on customer service, the Network/Systems Administrator I maintains effective communication to ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of the network environment.

This position encompasses monitoring of network performance, assisting with deployment of solutions and equipment, maintaining system documentation, and managing hardware and software components. Working in close collaboration with other members of IT, assists with testing and resolving technical issues while adhering to the organization’s standards, security protocols, and operational procedures. With a strong emphasis on customer service, the Network/Systems Administrator I maintains effective communication to ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of the network environment.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the continuous operation of network systems and environment, including monitoring, responding to incidents, and conducting routine maintenance tasks
- Efficiently manage and respond to customer-generated incidents and service requests, addressing inquiries, and issues in a timely manner. Provide courteous and professional support to end-users, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring resolutions align with best practices.
- Administer, troubleshoot, implement, and maintain appropriate security measures to restrict unauthorized or inappropriate use of resources and data.
- Collaborate with leadership and partner stakeholders to develop and support network infrastructure to meet IT Service Level Agreements allowing the organization to meet its objectives and improve the customer experience with IT.
- Contribute to the development and execution of network systems and equipment, aligning initiatives with organizational goals, and recommending strategic directions.
- Participate in the assessment of new technologies for potential security risks and benefits, providing valuable input to decision-making processes.
- Provide team leadership in working on advanced, complex, and technical projects or business issues requiring technical or industry knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in information systems, computer science, systems administration, or related area. Other relevant experience in information or systems administration may be substituted for this requirement.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- One to two years’ experience preferred with network operations and maintenance of key IT infrastructure in one or more of the following areas: wired/wireless networks, switches, routers, routing protocols, VoIP, wireless access points, and/or firewalls.
- Preference for candidates with current certifications relevant to the Network/Systems Administrator role such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, etc.
