Job Description

SNI Technologies is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused, diligent, and team-oriented Sr. IT Infrastructure Administrator. The role will be responsible for the timely and quality delivery of IT Infrastructure projects and services including cloud platforms, server hardware and software, , process development and related systems, and assuring that SLAs are met or exceeded for the areas of responsibility.

Scope:

Working closely with all areas of IT, the role will be the primary server, application, infrastructure, and design architect engineer ensuring efficient, redundant, highly available and secure operations. This is a critical IT Infrastructure function, so the candidate must have extensive experience in servers, virtualization/VDI, storage, software architecture, Microsoft Azure, VMware, VPN, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, WAN technologies, and network design concepts. Effectively manage customer IT systems infrastructure such that company standards and expectations are met. Provide metrics, reports and communicate progress to leadership

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
  • MSP experience preferred.
  • 5+ year’s technical experience providing server and cloud services in support of a medium to large multi-location organization. Experience minimum with implementing, upgrading, and supporting on premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hyper-V & VMware experience preferred with emphasis on VDI and backend infrastructure
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure environment
  • Using and creating PowerShell scripts and queries for systems administration.
  • Work with other consultants and sales team members to design and execute the technical implementation of Enterprise Mobility +Security, Azure IaaS, SSO, and Office 365 converged solutions.
  • Knowledge in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO (creation/deployment/management), load balancing, print management, etc.…
  • Experience with storage and storage protocols such as FCOE, DFS, FC, SAN, SCSI and NAS is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in print servers and various printing apparatuses.
  • Experience with all Windows flavors and Mac OS’s Proven troubleshooting skills (LAN/WAN, Internet, packet capture utilities (e.g., Sniffer), servers, clients, and applications).
  • Good experience with VPN, security, and wireless LAN controllers/access points.
  • Experience with routers, servers switching, wireless technologies, VOIP a plus.
  • Strong understanding of WAN circuits and protocols. Administration of physical servers and supporting infrastructure. Strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN Routing, High Availability, networking concepts and protocol, SNMP knowledge and related concepts a must.
  • Experience managing various Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Exchange, Azure, Office 365, Server 2012 R2 and higher.
  • Experience with SonicWall Firewall configuration, and management, network security, i.e., firewalls, network intrusion prevention, vulnerability testing, authentication and encryption preferred.
  • OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure or add new services as necessary.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Experience with service desk and ticketing required as well as various advanced threat protection technologies is preferred. Knowledge of creating network and systems diagrams.
  • Has good working knowledge of IT functions and business units/technical practices and policies
  • Translates IT strategy into action.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver’s License (Travel will be in-county about 25%)
