SNI Technology's client is seeking to hire a talented Software Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis! Please note this is a 100% remote work position with a 5% travel requirement (when determined safe to resume).

JOB SUMMARY

SNI Technology's client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to assist in the development and maintenance of a complex, multi-tier application. The successful candidate will be meticulously organized and must pay close attention to detail. This candidate must have experience deploying large web-based applications used to primarily handle large datasets. At least three (3) years professional Java development is a must. This position has the option for remote employment, and may require occasional travel, evening, and weekend work.

Job Duties: (The selected candidate will help with the design, development, and maintenance of our client's flagship product. Candidates are expected to work across the entire application stack)

  • Help design and implement a cloud-hosted system
  • Use latest technology to help build a CI environment
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews
  • Work with release management to ensure nightly build and test integration of all developed components
  • Provide application support and troubleshooting for system developers and client sites
  • Responsible for related and adequate unit tests to ensure consistency of builds throughout the projects for developed components
  • Assist in research and implementation of new platform capabilities
  • Assesses project risks, identifies problems and solutions

Job Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of software development experience in a Java environment
  • Experience developing and integrating SOAP and RESTful web services
  • Experience using common Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot) and 3rd party, open-source libraries
  • Experience using Amazon AWS services
  • Experience using Single Sign On solutions like Okta is a plus
  • Experience with large databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
  • Knowledge of HTML [5], JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, JSP, Vue.js and Angular is a plus
  • Experience using third-party grid controls, specifically KendoUI
  • Knowledge of test tools
  • Working knowledge of system-level monitoring tools
  • Experience using source control software like GIT
  • Excellent communication skills
  • This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, although those with extensive proven experience may qualify without a related degree
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $90K to $105K annually + full benefits. Please note your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience - talk with your recruiter to learn more.
