Job Description

SNI Technology’s top client located in Brighton, CO is immediately seeking to hire a talented IT Project Manager for an exciting full-time, 6-month contract position with the opportunity for renewal and/or conversion to permanent upon completion of the contracting portion of the assignment. Please note this position is a hybrid work environment. Fully remote work is not available for this position.

IT PROJECT MANAGER

Under the direction of the IT Manager, and working collaboratively with the IT Governance Committee, plans and leads enterprise technology projects and initiatives. Provides high-level oversight and communication of the overall IT project plan, in partnership with other IT Unit managers; oversees the IT Unit project planning methodology; and is also responsible for direct project management of portfolios.

The Project Manager will plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific projects both new and in process. Additionally, Project Managers may work closely with upper management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and will also communicate with other departments for support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Leads and coordinates a variety of IT projects, including infrastructure and application projects, from initiation to deployment.
  • Serves as the point of contact for the project team's communications. Creates detailed work plans and determines which resources are required to complete the projects.
  • Drives project plans based on established goals, timelines, and financial budget.
  • Ensures project roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. Prepares time, scope, and resource analysis for steering committee to aid in prioritization and decision-making.
  • Reviews the project schedule with the steering committee and all other staff affected by the project.
  • Coordinates the change management process.
  • Monitors problems and follows up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Documents all project information appropriately.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs.
  • Ensures the use of best practices based on lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Ensures that weekly and monthly metrics and status reports are available to internal and external users. Ensures that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes to maximize efficiencies and improve quality.
  • Ability to coordinate competing projects in a fast-paced and changing technical environment.
  • Strong internal and external customer services skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can speak with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus (Agile).
  • Ability to work within the expected guidelines with limited supervision and excellent attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the scope of work.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related project management/coordination experience.
  • Previous Project Manager experience that included supporting infrastructure and software development projects.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years’ previous Project Manager experience that included managing a team of Project Managers including supervisory experience is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Currently in possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s License.

Other:
  • Specialized experience for this position includes experience that demonstrates accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated through assignments that require the ability to analyze a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of IT system design. This would include defining what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project.

COMPENSATION RANGE
The compensation for this position is in the range of $48 to $68 per hour during the 6-month contract duration of the assignment.
