Job Description

The Human Resources - Recruiter will lead and manage company's HR initiatives and help to develop the organization in its continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a superior work ethic, be extremely professional, along with experience in compliance, employee communications, performance tracking, recruiting & retention, employee relations, training, and management/leadership development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage HR operations and develop strategic approach for growth.
  • Create and manage accurate job descriptions & postings using them for ongoing recruitment purposes.
  • Handle all recruiting including interviews of prospective employees
  • Work side-by-side with managers to solve staffing needs through recruitment, retention, internal promotions, growth development opportunities for staff.
  • Manage employee benefits and be involved with payroll.
  • Manage and execute performance improvement plans, both proactively via performance evaluations and reactively via performance improvement plans.
  • Create, manage, and execute orientation and onboarding of new employees.
  • Responsible for compliance activities, maintenance of other records, reports, logs, etc., to conform to applicable regulations.
  • Manage progressive discipline, performance improvement, and termination process and conduct exit interviews.
  • Handle, manage, and/or oversee timekeeping, unemployment, workers' comp, LOA, FMLA, garnishments, wage/hour administration, regulatory compliance, audits, performance reviews, and similar.
  • Manage employee files, ensuring confidential, accurate, secure files.
  • Write HR policies and procedures working with company attorney.
  • Coach management team and help proactively manage employee relations issues.
  • Conduct wage, benefit, hr, and management surveys and make recommendations.
  • Review applicable HR related invoices, reports and programs for accuracy.
  • Plan and coordinate general meetings, staff gatherings, holiday parties and events, and incentive programs.


  • 5+ years progressively responsible HR management experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of laws and regulations, e.g., EEOC/Title VII, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, etc., required.
  • Proactive HR professional with strategic mindset and business savvy who can grow with company.
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience administering benefit programs
  • Hands-on professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse group from entry-level employees to management team.
  • Very organized with ability to track priorities and details, multi-task, and thrive in fast paced environment.
  • Not easily intimated, able to "hold your own" with line management, and able to establish HR as valued business partner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM, recruiting and other business software
