Job Description

The Information Technology (Field) Network Administrator will provide first and second tier support to all clients and assist the Account Managers with maintenance and operational duties. This position will report directly to the Account Managers and will assist in maintaining an efficient and well-organized IT Department that effectively supports our clients. This role will require candidates to deliver support services in a variety of technical disciplines, while operating within established best practices, standards and expectations. You will be responsible for managing Technology Infrastructure, including all networks, servers, workstations, production related systems, telecommunications infrastructure and Help Desk support. This position is a field position requiring 2-3 daily visits to clients on-premise.

Technical Services

  • Manage client technical infrastructure.
  • Implement new hardware and software technologies at client sites.
  • Computer hardware installations, relocations, service and repair.
  • Respond to support requests in a reasonable time and execute accurately and effectively.
  • Makes routine and non-routine decisions within the scope of the job on day-to-day technical infrastructure support.
  • Provides excellent customer service and creating an environment in which clients receive the information and service necessary to maximize productivity on a short and long-term basis.
  • Follow-up to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Provides service and support during business hours as required. Hours may be extended during exceptional circumstances, to maintain systems and service availability. This includes monitoring and responding to after-hours alerts sent though mobile devices, as well as responding to phone calls for support as situations require.
  • Travel as required with notice.
  • Manage operations within Blue Folder PSA.
  • Manage internal and external resources, setting performance goals and deadlines, ensuring that tasks and projects are completed time and within budget.
  • Technical Proficiencies Preferred: Fortinet, Sophos, Meraki, Windows Server, Office 365, StorageCraft ShadowProtect, Axcient BDR, Veeam, Network Cabling & Patch Management.
  • Hyper-V, SQL Server, CCTV & Voice Solution Proficiencies a plus.

Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of working experience as a system administrator or technical support technician of a Windows environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize team activities considering overall business direction while setting realistic and achievable goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines using a project management approach.
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out relevant information and think analytically.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, understand and respond in an effective and timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
