Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Lisle, IL.

3 days onsite

Salary $100-125K

Responsibilities

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure systems.
• Develop and implement governance policies for the use of cloud services using AWS Control Tower, Landing zone, and Azure management groups and blueprint policies.
• Integrate with external identity providers and developing IAM polices & roles that satisfy principles of least privilege and ease the process of onboarding/offboarding users.
• Support the web and data development teams with their various activities by acting as a subject matter expert to the organization for cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS, Azure and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.
• Configure logging/auditing services of all cloud deployments and portal activities.
• Define routing policies and procedure to maintain VPCs and Transit Gateway connections between accounts and to data centers.
• Support the full SDLC for the development of DevOps, Cloud and Big Data tasks.
• Work with open-source tools such as Terraform and cloud native automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS and Azure CLI.
• Contribute to DevOps development activities by creating a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloud.                                       

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience in cloud systems.
• 2-3 years’ experience managing Cloud Infrastructure or related projects.
• Experience with Cloud systems: AWS, Azure, both preferred.
• Strong customer service and support skills.
• Ability to facilitate collaborative work across multiple technical teams.
• Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks at once and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Ability to participate in the On-Call rotation and off hours / weekend work.
