SNI Technology’s client located in Denver, CO is seeking to hire a talented, Chief Marketing Officer on a permanent, direct-hire basis. Please note this position is not a remote position, and candidates must be willing to relocate/commute to either the Winter Park, FL or Denver Tech Center location.

Job Purpose

The Chief Marketing Officer will oversee all segments of the marketing team, including but not limited to paid media, SEO, content, and social. They will be responsible to maintain and outperform budgets on a per store basis while improving marketing operational efficacy.

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15+ years of advanced marketing experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing brick and mortar locations nationally.
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing brick and mortar with less than a 5-mile capture rate.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies, online marketing, and associated metrics.
  • A detailed understanding of paid search across multiple platforms.
  • A detailed understanding of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing staff and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in people management, and ability to relate to and work with different cultures worldwide.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office software. (Example: Multi-data and multi-tab pivot tables in Excel.)
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based organization, with strong relationship-building skills.


  • Self-storage or multifamily marketing experience a plus
  • Experience with Google Looker and Google Data Studio a plus
  • BS/BA degree in business or marketing or related field; MBA preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the marketing group with responsibilities to include advertising, sales online, customer satisfaction, understanding the company's position in the marketplace, determining how and where the company should be positioned in the future; develop the strategy to drive the organization to that future market position, and execute on that strategy.
  • Deliver top-line results, with marketing efforts focused on driving significant lead volume to the underlying assets, improve conversions, and ensure an efficient spend in line with budget.
  • Develop, implement, and improve upon the company’s organic strategy to reduce CPA and overall reliance on paid search.
  • Research and test new marketing channels not used effectively by the broader industry to provide additional lead sources and diversify our reliance on primary search channels.
  • Collaborating with company’s call center and sales team to improve velocity and conversion to support profitability at the underlying assets.
  • Directing the company's public relations efforts and working in conjunction with internal and external public relations teams to create a coordinated message.
  • Oversee the company's use of analytics platform, Google Looker, to understand customer preferences, priorities, and patterns, particularly through user-generated media, and how that insight can drive sales.
  • Direct marketing campaigns and customer outreach via existing -- and emerging -- social media sites, as well as through traditional channels.
  • Manage and track lead sources & measure effectiveness of media mix.
  • Create and follow the media plan and adhere to the media budget.
  • Proof, format, and place ad orders for publications.
  • Participate in marketing conferences as needed.
  • Track and oversee sales online (SOL) and associated leads.
  • Track bookings and closing ratios.
  • Improve customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Assist in the development of proper processes and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Operating Officer and President.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is in the range of $200K to $250K annually plus bonus and benefits. Please note your actual pay rate will be determined based upon your skills, knowledge and abilities including work experience - talk with your recruiter to learn more.
